Neighborhood Heroes

You did the right thing – an amazing thing. You rescued a pet. But now what? You can't keep them and this definitely wasn’t on your bingo card. Maybe you turned to your local resources for help but were told there isn’t any more room at the shelter. 

We can sympathize with the shelters; we are usually full, too. There are more animals that need homes than homes sometimes. But not all hope is lost, and maybe we can help.

Check out our Neighborhood Heroes program. This isn’t a surrender program. This is a rehoming program. It’s us extending our resources to help you find a good home for your unexpected furry friend.

We have an audience and a reach that you can tap into. For a $20 donation, we’ll courtesy post your wayward friend for one month. 

What does that mean? It means they get their own petfinder profile and airtime on our social media pages. You provide us with a bio and pics and we’ll get it loaded up. We can even help filter applications and have them sent to you so you can make a perfect match. 

We'd like to help. While we are unable to accept surrenders, we are able to use our network and resources to hopefully help you. But, simply put, we have to pay for these resources. They are not free. So, we need your help, too. 

At PA Pit Stop, we are proud of our success rates. We cannot guarantee your rehoming efforts will work through our program, but we are here to help give it our best shot through teamwork.

We will reach out to you to let you know if we are able to help.

If we accept your rehoming request:

1. We will ask you to please provide a bio and pictures (5-7 pictures) of the pet. Pictures tell a story! Make them good! Burry pics will not encourage applications. 

2. We will ask you to make a $20 donation via venmo @PA PitStop Rescue or through paypal friends and family papitstop2018@gmail.com. 

3. We will then post your pup for 1 month (30 days). We ask that you check in with us every 2 weeks so we know if the pup is still available. We can also edit the bio and/or pics if you'd like. 

4. If your pup isn't adopted within 30 days, we will either renew your positing for another $20 donation or we will remove the post and assume you have it from here.
