Adoption Information

The first step in becoming a pet parent or foster is to complete the application below.  If you are interested in a pup that is *not* listed in the drop-down menu, please select "unlisted dog" and write the dog's name in the application. Foster, please select "foster" in the drop-down menu.

You will receive an email that your application was submitted successfully.  

We will then process your application, which includes calling your personal and veterinary references. A $10 non-refundable fee is due after the basic background check but before we contact your references. An Adoption Coordinator will be in touch with details on how and when to pay the fee. Once references are complete, we will request a virtual or in person tour of your home. After you are approved, we will set up a meet and greet. We do typically require a 50% deposit to hold a dog until adoption.

PA PitStop is a foster-based organization.  All of the pups listed as Adoptable are under our care, but not all are local at this time. Some are still waiting their freedom ride from Southern States. We are often waiting for foster space to open before moving more dogs. But, if you'd like to adopt a dog waiting in TX, that's fantastic! We have no problem booking them for transport ASAP. But, for the safety of our volunteers and fosters, we do only permit approved applicants to visit available dogs.
